Labour market integration of newcomers to Canada: The perspectives of newcomers in a smaller urban centre

In Canada, newcomers are often faced with many challenges when integrating into the labour market. This study examined market integration experiences of in Regina, Saskatchewan. Data were collected using a structured survey which was made available several languages. A total 305 (n = 305) participated this study. It found that length stay level education, having children and lack access to transportation had strong relationship newcomers' (p < 0.01). Specific barriers affect included language, vehicle, Canadian work experience credentials.
